Bailey - The rats' Godmother - Murphy
She/Her
What's the difference between an Irish wedding and an Irish funeral? One less drunk at the funeral.
Survival skill I learned during lockdown:
Me: “Did I learn any survival skills during our covid lockdown?”
My girlfriend: “All we did was stay home and eat.”
Favorite comedy show I’ve been a part of: My favorite comedy show I’ve done? Probably writing my monologue about why Ariel sucks to audition for Smartmouth. There was only one person in the audience, but it changed my life forever.
Bailey has been with Smartmouth since about 2016, when she received her rejection email from Kelliann for "Who Killed Ariel?" where she also asked if I wanted to be friends. Bailey figured anyone who could reject someone so thoughtfully that included a request for drinks was definitely a space she wanted to be a part of. In her time with Smartmouth she's had the opportunity to experience growth as a performer, as an improviser, comedian, writer, producer, and now as an artistic team member. Having a space for women to thrive in comedy is not just important, it's invaluable. And she thanks every single one of her Smartmouth folks and those who have supported us along the way for the chance to keep providing funnies.
